[edit] Size

[edit] Minute

Minute creatures are truly small, standing less than 6" in height. Man-sized creatures have difficulty hitting things this small. Sharp damage is reduced against minute creatures, the sword becomes little more than a club against them. Thrusting attacks inflict much more damage, as if you can break the skin, you're nearly guaranteed to hit a vital area. Blunt damage, is likewise increased against minute creatures, as the impact is quite capable of squashing them. Because of their size creatures inflict less damage than others, however, have little problems striking man-sized or taller targets.

[edit] Tiny

Tiny creatures are 1/2' to 2' tall, and are usually considered to be highly agile. Creatures Larger than Man-sized have difficulty striking Tiny creatures, givng them a defensive bonus. Sharp damage is lessened against tiny creatures, as they create smaller wounds in their targets. Thrusting damage is increased against tiny creatures, as they bite deeper into their vitals. Blunt damage is increased against tiny creatures, as the impact can, quite litterally, knock them flat. Because of their size, tiny creatures inflict less damage than others, and have little difficulty in striking creatures larger than Tall- sized.

[edit] Small

Small creatures are from 2-4 1/2' tall. Creatures larger than Tall- sized have difficulty striking Small creatures, giving them a defensive bonus. Sharp and thrusting attacks against small creatures are resolved in the same way as for tiny creatures, though the modifiers are lessened. Blunt weapons inflict normal damage against small creatures, as while they do not possess the mass to resist the impact, they are still small enough to only be grazed. Small sized creatures have no modifiers to the damage they inflict, as they are large enough to cause damage... Additionally, small creatures have less difficulty striking creatures larger than large sized.

[edit] Man

Man-sized creatures range from 4 1/2 - 7 feet tall. They represent the base, from which all other damage modifiers are based. Man-sized creatures take "normal" damage from all attacks, and have neither bonus nor penalty when striking any size of creature, unless the creature is of gargantuan size.

[edit] Tall

Tall-sized creatures range from 7-9 feet tall. Tall sized creatures have difficulty striking tiny creatures, because of the size difference. Sharp weapons inflict slightly more damage to tall creatures, as there's more flesh to slash. Thrusting damage is reduced slightly against Tall creatures. Blunt damage is normaal against tall creatures. Tall creatures gain a damage bonus because of their size.

[edit] Large

Large creatures are 9-12 feet tall. They have problems hitting small and tiny creatures, because of the size difference. Sharp weapons inflict even more damage to Large creatures, again, since there's more to slash. Blunt damage is reduced against large creatures, as the impact means little to their great mass. Thrusting damage is reduced against large creatures, as it is harder to get at their vitals. Large creatures gain a damage bonus because of their size.

[edit] Giant

Giant creatures range from 13-30 feet. They have problems hitting smaller than man-sized creatures. Giant sized creatures gain a damage bonus from their size. Giant creatures take extra damage when slashed, and less damage from thrusting and impacts. Basically, these attacks become little more than annoying stings to their mass.

[edit] Gargantuan

These creatures are massive, monstrous and scary. Fortunately, they have problems hitting man-sized or smaller opponents because of the size difference. This is fortunate because the damage that they can inflict is capable of crippling and killing things with a single blow. Thrusting weapons are at an all-time low against Gargantuan creatures, becoming little more than what we consider an insect's bite. Blunt weapons are also at their lowest, but do better than thrust attacks, (hey, you never know, you might just break his toe!). Sharp attacks, alas, fall back to normal against creatures this size. (Oh sure, you can slash a good 5 foot wound in his side, but how deep is it?)
