Aalynor's Nexus is a free system, allowing any and all persons the ability to explore the land of Aalynor's Nexus, interact with the other characters, to do their part to turn back the Goblin Hoardes, to pledge to one of the gods, and to have their names engraved into the Spire of Heroes.
As a non-contributing member, we allow you the ability to advance one character to the twelfth tier of their class and to experience the rich, roleplaying atmosphere that sets Aalynor's Nexus above most other MUDs.
However, in actuality, Aalynor's Nexus is not a free system; at least, not to us. There are costs associated with running a system like Aalynor's Nexus. We could have used a cheaper, or free server to host this service, however, like you, we do not enjoy constant lag from the internet. As such, we have designed a voluntary contribution system, much like you find with shareware software, to help offset the costs of providing fine, computerized entertainment to our users.
We are offering four levels of voluntary membership. These levels give you benefits for one year from the date your contribution is received. You may upgrade your level at any time, up to the maximum level, receiving the difference in Tokens and Gold Marks from your previous level.
All fringe benefits will go into effect with 72 hours of receipt of your contribution.
All contributions will be put towards the overall operation of the mud. We hope to evolve the Nexus as a community based system on the internet which will be self-sufficient and self-governing.
Although making a contribution is not a requirement to play on Aalynor's Nexus, it does guarantee your character slot. Periodically, we need to purge the player files to ensure we have sufficient resources to support our contributing members (who are, after all, helping cover the costs of operating the system).
Levels of Contribution
[edit] BRONZE LEVEL --- $20.00/year
The characters of a bronze level contributing user can advance to level 20.
Bronze level contributing users may buy property and build homes or stores.
Bronze level contributing users are allowed up to 2 characters.
[edit] SILVER LEVEL --- $40.00/year
The characters of a silver level contributing user can advance to level 20.
Silver level contributing users may buy property and build homes or stores.
Silver level contributing users are allowed up to 5 characters.
Silver level contributing users are given a 100,000 mark credit toward the purchase of an item of customized equipment.
Silver level contributing users also get 1 "Free Passage from Tilnar's Realm", undoing the effect of one character death.

The characters of a gold level contributing user can advance to level 25.
Gold level contributing users may buy property and build homes or stores.
Gold level contributing users are allowed up to 12 characters.
Gold level contributing users are given a 250,000 mark credit toward the purchase of an item of customized equipment.
Gold level contributing users also get 3 "Free Passages from Tilnar's Realm", each undoing the effect of one character death.

The characters of a platinum level contributing user can advance to level 25.
Platinum level contributing users may buy property and build homes or stores.
Platinum level contributing users are allowed up to 30 characters.
Platinum level contributing users are given a 500,000 mark credit toward the purchase of an item of customized equipment.
Platinum level contributing users also get 6 "Free Passages from Tilnar's Realm", each undoing the effect of one character death.
Platinum level contributing users also get a lockable storage room, with a chest with a 50 item capacity. This storage room will be found in a fixed location within the realms.
